I love the practice of yoga.
Not the kind of yoga that gets one steaming hot, contorted, and wearing clothes that costs more than I’d pay for a fancy dress.
I prefer a different kind.
One where the instructor is cautious and makes sure that everyone is striving for their personal edge, but not beyond.
One that I can do anywhere at anytime, like the middle of a frozen lake in Northern Ontario as I did last year.
One where I wear my most comfortable clothes, and no one cares (or likely even notices) that they’re a tad ratty.
One that I can do anywhere, even in the middle of a frozen lake in Northern Ontario.
That’s the kind of yoga I love, and that’s the kind of yoga I’ll be talking about at Booth 429B at the Yoga and Wellness Show at the Enercare Centre in Toronto on September 30 and October 1, 2017.
There will also be people there that love yoga that gets one steaming hot, contorted, and wearing clothes that costs more than I’d pay for a fancy dress.
But if there’s one thing that yoga has taught me, it’s that peace of mind and well being are for everyone, even those that do things different than me.
